ICE Facility, Portland, OR
From early summer 2025 and through the winter of 2026, the ICE facility in Portland, Oregon has been a
flash point of local protests. The variations of protests and events locally have been contributing to
the national discourse on how community members can resist ICE's presence in their cities.
It's also shown how federal agents respond to this resistance, consistently with violence and
massive amounts of chemical munitions. The tactics from federal agents continually escalated,
and in response, more and more residents continued to organize and show up in protest.
These photos focus on the federal agents and their actions,
who repeatedly claim to be working in the interest of safety for the community.
